Privacy Policy
ConvX is built on a simple principle: your files are yours. This policy reflects that.

The short version
ConvX processes files 100% locally on your machine. We don't collect your files, we don't see your files, and we don't upload your files. There is no cloud component. ConvX works entirely offline.
What ConvX does NOT collect
- Your files, file names, or file contents
- Conversion history or usage patterns within the app
- Screenshots, screen recordings, or clipboard data
- Contacts, messages, or any personal data on your device
- Location data or device identifiers
What ConvX collects
When you purchase a license, we collect the minimum information needed to process your payment and deliver your license key:
- Email address to deliver your license key and send critical product updates (no marketing emails)
- Payment information processed securely by our payment provider. ConvX never sees or stores your full card details.
- Machine fingerprint, a one-way hash used solely for license activation. This cannot be used to identify you or your machine.
License activation
ConvX uses a lightweight license activation system. When you activate your license, a one-way machine fingerprint is sent to our activation server to verify your license key. This is the only network request ConvX ever makes, and it only happens once during activation. After activation, ConvX works entirely offline.
Website analytics
The ConvX website (convx.dev) uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our site. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect anonymous usage data such as page views, session duration, and referral sources. No personally identifiable information is collected. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Third-party services
ConvX does not integrate with any third-party analytics, tracking, or advertising services within the application. The only external communication is the one-time license activation request.
Data security
Since ConvX processes files locally and doesn't transmit file data over the network, your files are protected by whatever security measures you have on your own machine. There is no server-side file storage to breach.
Children's privacy
ConvX does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. Given that we collect virtually no data at all, this is straightforward.
Changes to this policy
If we make changes to this privacy policy, we'll update the "last updated" date above. For significant changes, we'll notify license holders by email.
